Lesson 4  - Lessons in Positivity 

Abstract: This lesson tells us about our distinct characteristics as human beings. These characteristics have helped us as humans to develop in many ways. We are the only species gifted with the resource of the subconscious mind. It is a two edged sword. It rewards us many empowerments when we use it to our advantage. It is likely to cause us many-a-problem, difficulty, failure, losses, souring of relationships if we do not message it in an empowering way.

Topic: Some Endowments to Humans

We have evolved from early primates. We have a developmental history of more than ten million years. We have developed as humans for the past seven million years. Some of our endowments make us distinctly different from animals.

1. We are bipedal. We can stand up erect and lie down stretched out flat. Our erect stance has enabled us to have our hands free for other tasks.
2. We have a binocular vision. This provides us with depth of field. Our vision is also spectral. It covers the entire band of visible colors.
3. We have a well developed brain. Our brain size is disproportionately large in comparison to the size of our body. With no nervous cells at conception we have over ten billion nerve cells as adults. We have intelligence in a variety of areas; words and language, numeral, object shape, 3-D understanding, and abstract thinking, emotional, spiritual and still many more.
4. We have a developed cognitive capacity. We can think logically and rationalize. This has contributed to our capacity to acquire knowledge and understand things.
5. A developed voice box supported by mouth and lips. We can modulate our voice in a variety of tones, pitch and notes. We have the ability to construct words that make sense. This has helped us to develop language with the help of which we communicate with others and develop synergy.
6. We use language to communicate. We are able to construct our ideas in sentences that make sense. The wide range of languages world wide and dialects is enough proof. We are also perhaps the only species that uses written script to put ideas on paper.
7. We are gifted with a fully opposable thumb. This provides for a power grip and a precision grip. Much of our development as humans can be attributed to this one gift – the fully opposable thumb.
8. We are gifted with the capacity to consciously message our Subconscious Mind. We can get our Subconscious Mind to get for us what we want, our needs, our desires, also fulfillment of our aspirations and achievement of our goals.
9. We are the only species whose Subconscious Minds are networked. Every human being's Subconscious Mind is networked with the Subconscious Mind of every single other human being on earth.
10. We have the capacity to direct our attention and thinking purposefully. We can make thought out choices. We can and do make decisions. We have in hand every moment to use to design our future - for good or for worse. Again choice is our very own.

Summary / Learning Points: We have developed because of our comparatively large brain, capacity for language and opposing thumb. Our developed brain has contributed to we having over 12 types of intelligence. The opposing thumb has given many a skill. We have now learnt that our subconscious mind is our Genie within. Its distinguishing quality is that it is networked with all humans on earth. Mastering positivity helps us to use this endowment to our advantage.
